If you follow Richard Byrne then you must be familiar with how he attended NECC this year in DC. Funny how we are all so connected.
I set this Ning up and was the only administrator until I realized the vast majority of the participants were from eastern Nebraska. Josh Allen from Papillion-LaVista is my co-administrator.
It is my hope that the traffic on here picks up this fall. ESU13 might be taking advantage of this site for some training this year. I hope other units will follow our lead and start leveraging social media in education.
Best of luck with using blogs and wikis in your classroom. I use Blogger for my class blog and I was literally setting up my 5th wiki in PB Works when I was notified of your comment. I also use Wikispaces with some of my classroom projects. Since my students are well over 13 there is not a huge concern with privacy like there is with younger students.
Welcome to the Ning! I am anxious to hear how you found out about it. I hope we start using it more this fall. It has the potential to change the way we communicate and share, but only if we all take advantage of it.
